About the position – Responsibility and planning within preventive maintenance

In this role, you will work closely with both our workshops and external suppliers, and be responsible for planning, prioritizing, and following up on preventive, condition-based, and improvement maintenance on the mechanical side. You will follow tasks from start to finish, ensure that maintenance work stays within budget for both short- and long-term goals, and contribute to maintaining and further developing effective processes.

You will have budget responsibility for a clearly defined area and collaborate cross-functionally with other maintenance engineers, operations, mechanics, the purchasing department, and the work environment group to collectively create safe and reliable facilities.

Tasks – Planning, purchasing, and quality follow-up of maintenance

• Plan and prioritize preventive, condition-based, and improvement maintenance in consultation with internal and external parties

• Ensure that maintenance work adheres to budget frameworks and operational goals

• Participate in and support purchasing processes regarding maintenance services and spare parts

• Plan and follow up on revision work, and be responsible for quality review

• Update and administer the maintenance system with relevant actions and measures

• Initiate and drive improvement work together with relevant departments

• Develop collaboration with suppliers for increased reliability and efficiency

• Support and contribute to work environment efforts within maintenance and mechanics

• Prioritize safety and availability in all maintenance work

• Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and policies

Qualifications – To succeed as a maintenance engineer

• Relevant engineering education or equivalent work experience in maintenance and mechanics

• Experience in maintenance planning and budget responsibility is an advantage

• Knowledge of work environment issues and experience from heavy industry is particularly advantageous

• Good administrative and communicative skills

• Familiarity with systems and experience with maintenance systems

• Swedish and English in spoken and written form
